Kenneth A.Love

Born early in the morning in Chippingham on the Island of Nassau, to parents, Thomas & Lorna Love. Kenny, (as he is known by many friends and colleagues, and "Dr. Love" by others) faced many challenges as he started his quest for knowledge and excellence.
Early in life sports was one of his first challenges, being small in structure did not make the struggle as an athlete any easier, however discovering that, "The battle must first be won in the mind before the conquest is won on the field, helped in keeping focused and making one a better person".
Kenny's Initial encounter with photography, was through Mr. Wilkie, a Art and Carpentry teacher at Robinson Road High School where he graduated from in 1969. The following year Kenny attended St. Anne's High School on a scholarship, while working at the Nassau Guardian for a period of three years to help finance his continued education at the "Delehanty Institute" in New York City, where he completed his course in Architecture and Structural Engineering.
He returned home and worked in the field of engineering, with the best "Consulting Civil & Structural Engineers of the time George V. Cox, for three years then moving on to Banking at Commonwealth Industrial Bank, where he spent another three years, and was up for becoming a Supervisor, when his wife Shanta gave birth to twins (King & Kong), which encouraged moving on to embrace the field of Photography, something that he had a lot of emotional attachment to from high school.
The birth of his twin boys in January, was the inspiration and models he needed to pursue the love of his photography and to start his own business. With his banking/business background and armed with confidence, he started his own photography business, which he launched from the garage of his home in "Woodland", Kenny' main love of photography was nature, thus the name "SunSandSea Photography". In less than a year this eventually evolve into "EYESofLOVE Photography" as he learned to love photographing people as he practiced on his pregnant wife and his energetic boys.
Kenny became a member of (PPA) Professional Photographers of America, in the early 1980's and never looked back since, he has attended conventions, seminars and continuing educational programs on an annual bases, which included PPA's "Winona School of Photography", Marketing and Management Conferences, as well as local Management Business Conferences.
It was in 1988 again with the birth of another son, (Shanta did not know how to make girls) Kenny along with some of his colleagues, formed the "Professional Photographers of Bahamas" and he was elected the first President of PPB, a position that he held for 11 years, until he resigned, to encourage new leadership in the Association and to concentrate on the establishment of yet another first, "Bahamas International School of Professional Photography" serving as it's first Director to date.
1993, Kenny was the first Bahamian to become a "Certified Professional Photographer" and in Texas at PPA's 2005 International Convention he became the 14th individual worldwide to receive the "Ross Sanddal International Award. Again in 2006 he received and to date, is the only Bahamian to received the coveted "Craftsman Degree" from the Professional Photographers of America, while serving on their International Committee under four different Presidents.
